GARSTANG CAMERA CLUB OPEN EVENING AND BEGINNERS NIGHT
The Camera Club Winter Season starts on Wednesday 4th September and will be an Open Evening. Anyone who is interested in photography is welcome. The evening is free and includes light refreshments.
We will have talks about photography aimed at both beginners and experienced photographers. Knowledgeable members of the club will be on hand to discuss aspects photography, equipment and photo processing.
In addition, we will have a presentation of members images with a discussion about what makes a good photograph. If you come along as a visitor and would like to show up to three images for critique, please email them to us in advance and we can include them and give you some feedback.
We have an exciting programme of events for 2019/20 including some excellent speakers on a variety of photographic subjects and a new programme of interactive workshops. Some of our experienced members will act as mentors to help with your photography and with using software such as Photoshop or Lightroom.
Also, for this year we have a new set of competitions. We have an Events Cup based on our summer outings and competitions including Environment, Creatures of the World, Humanity and Anything Goes. Each of the competitions has three sections, Colour or Mono Prints and Digital Images.
As well as our regular meeting, we will also be having bi-monthly visits to various venues, the first of which is a visit Oulton Park on 6th September for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Visitors and prospective new members are always given a warm and friendly welcome and we aim to encourage beginners and challenge the experienced. Whatever skills or equipment you bring your interest in photography is the only qualification needed.
