Morning All

Well done to all the members who made it to ‘The 3 Sisters race track’; very enjoyable time.

Lewis and I would like to confirm that Michael Orr is now Garstang Camera Club Programme Secretary. Many thanks Michael for stepping in.

A reminder of August dates:

August 29th Monday – the club will have a stand at the summer fete in the grounds of Oaklands on Dimples Lane. If you are going, please say hello!

September dates: It’s busy!

Sept 3rd Saturday – Preston Military Show, Fulwood Barracks, free entry, gates open at 11am.

Sept 3rd Saturday – Paint Garstang; 9am – 4pm, judging 4.30, prize giving at 5pm.

We thought this could be a challenge for members. You could show your results at our first meeting on Wednesday 7th Sept. You wouldn’t need to stand up at the front, we’ll show the images and you could talk about them.

Sept 7th Wednesday – Our first club meeting of the ‘season’. We will be welcoming you all back to the regular club get-togethers and, hopefully, welcoming some new members. Programme for the evening to be sent out soon.

September 10th Saturday – Events Cup destination – Kendal; details to follow shortly.

Sept 10th Sat and Sept 11th Sun – Lancashire Game and Country Festival at Woodacre Farm – PR3 1BN.

September 14thThe speaker is Adrian Almond, ‘live’ in the Arts Centre; Title: A photographer in Transition.

September 21stThe speakers are Alan and Julie Walker ‘live’ in the Arts Centre; Title: Bulgaria and Beyond.

September 25th Saturday – Events Cup destination – Last one: Blackpool Zoo; details to follow shortly.
