Afternoon All

Another warm sunny day! Still keeping an eye on the weather for the owl trip, not much sun on the horizon at the moment though.

Message just received from Ian White – Bispham Photographic Society:
I’m writing to you to inform you with a saddened heart that on the 31st October 2024 BPS (Bispham Photographic Society) will fold, and will no longer operate, this is mainly due to the lack of members, the club has been going for a good few years, in fact back on 2nd September is was the 60th AGM.
We do have a few items we would like to get rid of by the 31st, so if you think you might be interested, please pop into the club on 24th or 31st, there from 19:30hrs. ie. a couple of light boxes, small Umbrellas, some tripod stands, some small table lamps, these items are FREE but if you feel you can, a small donation to Brian House would be appreciated,
Thank you, regards
Ian White Acting Secretary/Chairman

If you are interested in any of the above please email Ian on: ianwhite731@btinternet.com

Coffee/tea duty:
Tim and Rhona are on the rota for next Wednesday – thanks in advance!

Anne Marie, Arts Centre:
A meeting was held today to discuss all sorts of issues concerning the Arts Centre, attached are the minutes.

Christmas Tree:
We have been asked to set up a Christmas tree for a local church. I have a wooden one about 100cm tall. The setting up will probably be Thursday 5th of December with the festival on the Friday & Saturday. So, we’re thinking along the lines of old camera items which were used perhaps 30/40 years ago to decorate said tree! Plus, any other items you can think of. Please either email me or have a chat at the next couple of meetings – ta.

Environment Cup:
Description of images: Landscapes, architecture, dereliction, sculptures, street art, environmental issues and transport. People and animals must show scale or add to; not focal point.

If any member needs help/advice on anything to do with competition entries please email me on the usual address – info@garstangcameraclub.co.uk – it’s no problem, honest!
