Morning All
The sun has got its hat on! Heat wave on its way – what, in Garstang? Time for those sunrise and sunsets shots!
A message from Sarah Keast:
Esthwaite to see the Ospreys?
If you fancy going to Esthwaite Water in the lakes to watch and potentially photography the Ospreys Sarah is co-ordinating a visit there. Last time I was there (April) the electrically powered boat cost £45 for 2 people for 2 hours, which was enough time. They are very professional and training is given! The boats are very easy to ‘drive and steer’ and you are very clearly told where you can and cannot go!
Sarah’s preference is to go early August on a Monday or Wednesday, but could do others.
If you are interested, please contact Sarah directly on her email:
A message from Stan:
The organisers of the Soap Box Derby have asked if our club has a video photographer who would video the event for them. If not do they know anyone who might video the event for them. If you are interested please contact Stan directly on: stanley.pearson@talktalk.net

‘The Car’s the Star’ Classic Car Show at Holker Hall
Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club are proud to welcome you to their annual ‘The Car’s the Star’ show, held in the spectacular parkland surrounding Holker Hall.
The event will include displays from all eras of motoring and motorsport – with classes and awards for all types of vehicles – as well as arena displays, trade stands and autojumble.
The Car’s the Star takes place between 11.00am and 4.00pm.
There is also plenty to see; check out their website: https://www.holker.co.uk
Meeting up? We suggest meeting up at 12.30ish in the main car park for a ‘sandwich’ lunch or the main café is very close.
Obviously, with the ‘The car’s the Star’ classic car shows it’s going to be busy!
That’s all folks
Mike and Lewis
